NL Instructions for use Putting the salt lamp into use
Intended use for:
This product is only intended for indoor use in dry rooms.
Before first use (after shipment):
Unpacking
Carefully remove the salt lamp from its packaging. Salt is a natural material; small, loose salt particles are normal. Check that the heat source, socket, and cord are undamaged.
Placement
Place the salt lamp on a stable, dry surface. Preferably use a coaster to protect furniture from any moisture from the salt. Do not place the salt lamp in damp areas such as bathrooms or directly next to an open window.
Mounting the lamp
Carefully insert the heat source into the socket. Turn it firmly but carefully (clockwise) to tighten. Press both springs of the socket in and insert it, bulb side up, into the hole at the bottom of the salt lamp. If the socket has a stop ring, you can push it all the way to the base. If the socket doesn't have a stop ring, you can adjust the heat source height until the desired light distribution is achieved in the salt lamp. (Note: Never push the heat source all the way to the top of the hole against the stone, as this could cause the glass of the heat source to shatter.)
Connecting a salt lamp
Plug the salt lamp into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the product specifications. First-time use: Turn on the salt lamp using the switch on the cord. Check that the salt lamp is burning properly. It's best to leave it on for the first few hours to allow any moisture to evaporate.
During use
The salt lamp may become warm during use; this is normal. Burn the salt lamp regularly to reduce moisture buildup.
Maintenance
Clean the salt lamp only with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or immerse it in water. If moisture forms, leave the salt lamp on for a few hours to dry.
